Matchup plan

Choose Conqueror and Coup de Grace to enhance early ganks, Gathering Storm for late game, and two small CDR runes. Prioritize Riftmaker and Liandry's Torment as the two core items. After that, you can easily double-cast Q. With blue buff or Cloud Drake, you can achieve this earlier. The items provide a lot of defensive stats, forcing the enemy team to coordinate heavily to take you down.

Locke vs Nidalee · Jungle matchup

01

Core game plan

Nidalee clears fast and can invade; Locke clears slowly early and can be easily counter-jungled and snowballed on, so you have to play safe and plan your route.

How a strong Nidalee player plays

  1. 1

    Ranged Poke

Good Nidalee players will constantly poke you with Q, exploiting your short range. She dodges when you throw Q and hits you when you last hit.

  2. 2

    Jungle Invasion

She may place traps in your jungle and invade with red buff. Your clear is slow, so be wary of counter-jungling early.

  3. 3

    Kiting and Avoidance

She uses cougar form W and E to kite, preventing you from getting close, then counter-attacks when your abilities are on cooldown.
