Matchup plan

Consider starting with Tear of the Goddess. Mana equals lane pressure; with mana you can push and poke.

Skarner vs Jayce · Jungle matchup

01

Core game plan

Skarner can push and poke as long as he has mana. Jayce feels uncomfortable when pressured in positioning. Freezing the wave can force him to recall and lose minions.

How a strong Jayce player plays

  1. 1

    Cannon Form Poke

Good Jayce players will frequently poke you with cannon form Q, using range advantage to chip your health.

  2. 2

    Hammer Form E Interrupt

When you activate W and charge in, he will switch to hammer form and knock you back with E, preventing you from closing the gap.

  3. 3

    Form Switching Kiting

He will use R to switch forms for speed boosts and kiting, making it hard for you to land Q while maintaining safe distance.
