If Orianna is not top-tier, take Electrocute and Ignite for pressure; if she is very skilled, take Aery and Bone Plating to play safe and scale. Alternatively, take Aery and movespeed runes with Lucidity boots for high movespeed kiting. Use Hextech Rocketbelt active to close distance quickly, then E and R for burst, finishing with Ignite. Rocketbelt can also dodge Orianna's Q. After buying Ionian Boots of Lucidity, use movespeed advantage to pressure her into using skills, then dodge and counter-trade. No mana item needed before 10 min; between 10-20 min, get a mana item for mid-game teamfights.

How a strong Orianna player plays

  1. 1

    Q poke forces you to move

    Orianna places her ball near the wave; to CS, you must take Q damage, forcing you to move or trade to push.

  2. 2

    Counter-attack after missed skill

    After she uses Q, step forward to pressure; she must retreat. If you initiate first while she has all skills, you lose the trade.

  3. 3

    Flash-Q-R instant kill

    With Flash, she will look for Flash-Q-W-auto-R; use E to interrupt her auto or create distance.
