Hwei vs Veigar · Mid lane matchup

01

Core game plan

Hwei has long range to constantly suppress Veigar. Dodge his Q and you can bully him freely. His E will always hit when he goes for last hits. Without Flash, he's a free kill.

How a strong Veigar player plays

  1. 1

    Q poke to lower HP

Good Veigar players will spam Q to poke you. After consecutive hits, they walk up to auto you, lowering your HP to set up a kill.

  2. 2

    E traps to force Flash

He will use E to trap you, forcing Flash or eating damage, especially when you go for cannon minions.

  3. 3

    R execute low HP

When your HP is below half, he will directly R you with Ignite to secure the kill. Keep your HP healthy.
