Matchup plan

Take Electrocute. Take E at level 1, use E to close distance and trigger trades for easier advantage. Doran's Ring is better than Doran's Blade because Blade's auto damage isn't enough to kill, and AP items deal similar damage. Rush Ionian Boots of Lucidity for lane dominance. Second item priority: Liandry's Torment, third: Rabadon's Deathcap, stronger than Horizon Focus. If enemy mid and jungle are both AP, take Mercury's Treads; if only mid is AP, go Sorcerer's Shoes.

Rune variants

  • 带电刑,一级点对位E利用对位E技能拉近身位触发换血,更容易打出优势。

How a strong Xerath player plays

  1. 1

    Steal W during last hit

Xerath takes W at level 1, using it when you auto-attack a minion for easier poke.

  2. 2

    W slow into Q

After level 2, he will slow you with W first then guarantee Q; dodge the W.

  3. 3

    Punish after dodging E

He will dodge your E then use W slow and Q to chase; ensure your E lands.
