Lissandra vs Mel · Mid lane matchup

01

Core game plan

Lissandra's abilities are not afraid of Mel's reflect. Stay stable in the early game, and it's easy later. If Mel can't suppress you, she's useless.

How a strong Mel player plays

  1. 1

    Save W for Ice Claw

Good Mel players will hold W to block your E, reflecting the claw and preventing you from closing in or swapping.

  2. 2

Harass with Q to Lower HP

Mel will frequently poke you with Q early on, sneaking in damage while you last-hit, to pressure your health.

  3. 3

Use R to Counter or Deter Dives

When you E forward, Mel may ult to root you and create distance, wasting your cooldowns.
