Matchup plan

Take Arcane Comet, Scorch, Absolute Focus, Cheap Shot, plus Ignite to maximize early damage, compensating for weaker late game. Core three items: Luden's Tempest, Sorcerer's Shoes, Horizon Focus to maximize early damage. On first recall, prioritize Sorcerer's Shoes or Boots + Dark Seal + Amplifying Tome. Don't rush Lost Chapter; tier 2 boots give movespeed advantage against a bootless opponent, improving skillshot accuracy.

01

Core game plan

Lux can pressure Diana early, but after level 3, Diana can shield, dash, and burst her down. Later on, it becomes even harder, requiring constant careful positioning and awareness of cooldowns.

How a strong Diana player plays

  1. 1

    Q poke to bait movement

Good Diana players will frequently use Q to test your movement; if you misstep, you get hit, then she follows with E to engage.

  2. 2

    E engage trade

When you use E to poke, Diana will directly E onto you, using W shield and passive autos to trade back.

  3. 3

    Post-6 one-shot combo

When Diana has both summoners, she will look for an opportunity to hit Q then ult you, using Ignite to secure the kill.
