Matchup plan

Against Sylas, recommend Ghost with Cosmic Insight to reduce defensive cooldowns, improving kiting and survivability. Secondary: Biscuits and Cosmic Insight for lane sustain and summoner spell CDR. Alternatively, consider Ignite as early grievous wounds to suppress his healing. Defensive summoner: always Exhaust, not Barrier or Heal. Also consider Bone Plating... Start with Doran's Ring, first recall prioritize Dark Seal for best early value. If enemy frequently trades skills, prioritize Lost Chapter for sustain. Second item choose Zhonya's or Banshee's for defense; Lux has enough damage, surviving is key. Third item: if enemy builds MR, get Void Staff; otherwise Rabadon's...

Lux vs Sylas · Mid lane matchup

01

Core game plan

Lux has longer range and can pressure Sylas's CS. After he uses E, he becomes a target; Lux can burst him down, but he can't burst Lux.

How a strong Sylas player plays

  1. 1

    E to bait your spells

Sylas will intentionally use E to close distance, baiting your spells, then punish during your cooldowns.

  2. 2

    After E chain, instant Q

If chained by E, he will land Q two hits and W, risking solo kill; try to dodge E.

  3. 3

    Max Q Rocketbelt burst

Current patch Sylas maxes Q with Conqueror and Rocketbelt; he can't one-shot you, but avoid taking too much poke.
