Matchup plan

Summoner spells: Teleport and Ghost. Runes: First Strike with Ultimate Hunter, plus two health runes. Start with Sapphire Crystal and potions. Since you can't fight anyone early, just farm safely. Recall as soon as you have 850 gold to buy Lost Chapter, then TP back to lane and continue farming with Q.

Malphite can only last hit under turret before level 6 against Syndra, basically being bullied. He has to survive until he gets his ultimate to find opportunities.

How a strong Syndra player plays

  1. 1

    Q Harassment Pressure

    A good Syndra will frequently poke you with Q, casting it while you last hit to force you to use your shield or back off, causing you to miss CS.

  2. 2

    E to Deny Engage

    After level 6, she will hold her E. When you ult in, she will immediately push you away with E, making your ult miss, then follow up with a full combo.

  3. 3

    W Wave Control with Jungler

    She will use W to grab minions and push the wave, freezing it just outside her tower, then call her jungler for a dive, making it hard for you to escape.
