Matchup plan

Must take Bone Plating against Fizz to mitigate his burst trades. Alternatively, take Aery and Ignite; as long as you land skills, you can win extended trades. Consider Rod of Ages for increased tankiness and sustained combat to counter the assassin. Take Ghost as summoner spell for mobility to chase or kite.

01

Core game plan

Orianna can pressure Fizz early, but after level 6, Fizz can burst her down in one combo. Low margin for error; requires careful positioning and skill prediction throughout.

How a strong Fizz player plays

  1. 1

Use E to last-hit and bait skills

Fizz will intentionally use E to last-hit a low minion while dodging your skill, then counter-trade when your abilities are on cooldown.

  2. 2

    Proc Bone Plating before trading

Fizz will first use E to pop your Bone Plating, then wait for it to expire before Qing in to trade, making your trades less efficient.

  3. 3

Look for solo kill after 6

After level 6, Fizz will punish your CS or positioning mistakes by ulting first, then following up with QWE for a full combo kill.
