How a strong Akali player plays

    E cancels Gold Card

    Akali can use her E to cancel your Gold Card stun. She will pop shroud when you throw your card, get close, and counterattack.

  2. 2

    Shroud double poke

    She will use shroud to approach for an AA-Q trade, then fake a retreat before coming back for another AA-Q. Don't let her poke you for free.

  3. 3

    Wait for teammates to engage first

    In teamfights, Akali will wait for her teammates to CC you before using her ultimate to dive, ensuring you can't use Gold Card.
