Against Amumu, Tahm takes Glacial Augment at level 1 to slow and stick with Q; if Amumu engages with Q, you can counter and kill. Alternatively, choose Arcane Comet with Bone Plating secondary for better poke and survivability. If Amumu plays aggressively early, build AP items (e.g., Hextech Alternator) to increase damage and use W+Q combo for high burst.

How a strong Amumu player plays

    Strong Level 1 Pressure

    Amumu has two CCs (Q and passive) at level 1. He will actively look to get close with his ADC to invade. Don't let him get near you.

    Weak After Using Skills

    After he uses his abilities, he becomes a super minion. Then you can counter-attack with your W and Q combo; he can't withstand your damage.

  3. 3

    Dodge Q to Harass

    Amumu's Q is a skillshot. If you dodge it, his threat is greatly reduced, and you can take the opportunity to lick him.
