Matchup plan

Consider taking Hail of Blades to quickly stack damage with auto Q combo and disengage. Play aggressively against Yone; start with Long Sword and then build Sheen. After Sheen, go for Trinity Force. If the enemy jungler deals physical damage, consider Plated Steelcaps or Cloth Armor.

Core game plan

Easy in early game, Yone has no attack speed, his W can't block your W, your E can dodge his Q. After level 6, just avoid his ultimate.

How a strong Yone player plays

  1. 1

    Push and Pressure

Yone will constantly push with Q, pinning you under tower to make CS difficult, then roam or coordinate dives.

  2. 2

    Bait W for Trade

He will use W first to poke, then trade when his shield is up. Your passive shield can block it, but timing is key.

  3. 3

    Ultimate Interruption

Yone will save his R to interrupt your second Q or cast it when you E in, preventing your full damage.
