Matchup plan

Primary: Grasp of the Undying. Use short cooldowns of Q and E to frequently proc and stack, gaining HP per stack. Even without kills, stacking gives HP advantage. Secondary: Legend: Alacrity and Gathering Storm, adjust based on situation. Start with Ruby Crystal to solve mana issues and provide HP and sustain. On second recall, buy Catalyst of Aeons and Chain Vest to solve mana and shield problems.

Gwen vs Yasuo · Top lane matchup

01

Core game plan

Gwen vs Yasuo is not too hard. Q can break his shield and cancel his tornado. Grasp of the Undying stacking makes trades favorable. But Wind Wall nullifies your ultimate, so wait for it to be on cooldown before fighting.

How a strong Yasuo player plays

  1. 1

    Q Tornado Trade

Yasuo will use Q tornado to force you to use Q to cancel. If you miss Q, he will immediately trade and you will lose.

  2. 2

    Wind Wall Blocks Ultimate

When Yasuo holds Wind Wall, you essentially have no ultimate. He will pressure you while your R is down. Wait for Wind Wall to expire before fighting.

  3. 3

    Wall Dash Poke

Yasuo will dash through minions to poke you. When you are low, he can EQ then R to kill.
