Take Exhaust to prevent Mordekaiser from diving you under tower. If your team lacks AP and the enemy backline is squishy, build AP Malphite to one-shot squishies before teamfights. If the enemy lacks tank-busting, prioritize tank items; if your team lacks AP damage, build some AP. AP Malphite relies on ult for damage; building tank only lets you soak damage and annoy the ADC. If you are prone to dying, skip Mejai's Soulstealer; other items can still carry.

How a strong Mordekaiser player plays

    W to block Q and farm

    Mordekaiser will use W to shield your Q slow and heal while farming; don't use Q when his W is up.

    E to pull and poke

    When you enter his E range, he will pull you for poke; watch your positioning to avoid being pulled.

    Ult to trap and duel

    After level 6, if you trade aggressively, Mordekaiser will proc his passive then ult to trap and kill you; don't step up recklessly.
