Matchup plan

Take Grasp of the Undying for farming and support, stacking Grasp procs. First item Sunfire Aegis for fast waveclear to prevent him from taking tower plates. Iceborn Gauntlet is also an option for damage and CC; trade and disengage, only losing shield. If laning is tough, consider Tear of the Goddess as a transitional item.

Malphite vs Nasus · Top lane matchup

01

Core game plan

Against Nasus, Malphite can stabilize in lane without much trouble, but solo kill opportunities are rare; you have to wait for your jungler or teammates to carry. It's a 50-50 matchup.

How a strong Nasus player plays

  1. 1

    Stack Q and farm

Nasus will focus on stacking Q; as long as you don't overextend, he can't easily kill you. Focus on farming.

  2. 2

    Fake weakness to counter

He'll pretend to be weak, baiting you to chase, then W + ult and block your escape.

  3. 3

Ult when he's low on mana

When his mana is below 100, he can only cast one spell; ulting then can turn the fight.
