Matchup plan

Build AP Malphite when your team lacks AP and enemy backline is squishy; one-shot them before teamfights. Prioritize tank items when enemy lacks tank-busting; build AP when your team needs magic damage. AP Malphite relies on ult for damage; building tank only lets you soak damage and annoy the ADC. If you die often due to poor mechanics, skip Mejai's Soulstealer; other items can still carry.
