Primary: Fleet Footwork for general survivability. Conqueror only for experienced players. Grasp of the Undying has low scaling and is not recommended. Secondary: Aggressive page for experienced players; beginners should take Resolve (Second Wind) or Inspiration (Biscuits) for survivability. Against heavy CC or kiting? Take Phase Rush to stick to enemies and avoid being kited. Start with Doran's Ring. In the early game, max E and build some AP items to poke and push waves. Consider Hextech Rocketbelt as first item—it's tankier than Luden's, deals similar damage, and offers better teamfight utility. Then build Ionian Boots of Lucidity and Sheen to ensure you can catch Vayne.

How a strong Vayne player plays

    Q to dodge E poke

    High-level Vayne players will use Q (Tumble) to dodge your E (Spirit Fire) while closing the distance to proc Silver Bolts, making trades unfavorable for you.

  2. 2

    E into wall combo

    When chased, Vayne will walk toward a wall and use E (Condemn) to pin you, then proc Silver Bolts for full damage.

  3. 3

    Press the Attack three-hit pressure

    Vayne takes Press the Attack. She'll auto you while you CS to proc the three-hit combo, then immediately back off to avoid minion aggro.
