Rumble vs Aatrox · Top lane matchup

Core game plan

Rumble has longer range for safe poke, Aatrox is clunky and easy to dodge skills. After hitting level 2 first, you can bully him freely. At equal skill level, it's an easy matchup.

How a strong Aatrox player plays

  1. 1

    Level 1 bush pressure

Aatrox may hide in the bush at level 1 to see which skill you take. If you take Q, he will come out to pressure you because level 1 Q without red heat deals low damage.

  2. 2

Flash W for flash trade and HP chunk

If Aatrox has distance, he may directly flash W to trade flashes or chunk your HP, creating an advantage for the early game.

  3. 3

Deny experience to hit level 2 first

Aatrox pressures you through trading to deny experience, aiming to hit level 2 first and use the level advantage. Be careful not to be pushed out of experience range.
